Recent surveys reveal that a significant portion of the American population is hesitant to file taxes. In fact, 84 percent of Americans would prefer to file their taxes rather than compete on a reality dating show. This statistic underscores the anxiety many feel about the tax process.

Moreover, 51 percent of Americans admit to spending more time worrying about tasks than actually completing them. This trend is particularly relevant during tax season, where 61 percent of individuals report feeling relief specifically after filing their taxes.

Jackson Hewitt’s ‘Get It Done Day’ is designed to combat this procrastination by motivating individuals to prioritize their tax filings. The campaign highlights that 40 percent of Americans would focus on filing their taxes if given a dedicated day to do so.

In conjunction with this initiative, Jackson Hewitt emphasizes the importance of support in the tax filing process. A notable 62 percent of Americans state that having tax assistance would encourage them to act sooner, reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing accessible help.

Currently, Jackson Hewitt operates more than 5,100 franchise and company-owned locations nationwide, including 2,600 locations within Walmart stores. This extensive network ensures that assistance is readily available to those who need it.

As the tax deadline approaches, 25 percent of Americans plan to file their taxes in the coming weeks. Additionally, 81 percent of respondents indicated that a potential refund would motivate them to file earlier, highlighting the financial incentives tied to timely tax submissions.
